Somebody took my "Energizer" batteries from charger so I had to take "DURACELL" instead. I thought maybe in Europe they sell "other" batteries than I can buy in UA.

Seems I was mistaken. My camera stop to work after 30 shots with "DURACELL" batteries despite them were fully charged before that. :-(

Also I did try "GP" batteries - works the same as "DURACELL". After 30-50 shots camera stops to work even if batteries were fully charged before.

So, from my experience only "Varta" and "Enegrizer" are working fine with my camera - about 400-600 shots per one batteries charge. The only diff between "varta" and "energizer" I have seen - after 1 year of usage "Varta" was bubbled and number of shots per one charge descreased to 100-200 shots. The "energizer" seems still working after 1 year of usage...

 

30-50 shots vs 400-600 is quite a big difference as for me. Maybe something related to batteries discharging mode... maybe to bad quality of "DuraCell" and "GP"... have no idea what it could be...

 

PS. Camera is Canon PowerShot A710.

Seems different Widnowses do not like each other.

I have 2 hard disks in my computer, one with Windows XP, second with Windows Vista.

And when I booting XP it could try to fix Vista drive and when working in Vista it could try to fix "errors" on XP disk.

 

Seems it is a bug in Windows CHKDSK utility - it does not understand when it is allowed to "fix" a disk and when is not... :-(

Сколько раз ездил в командировки а все никак не могу запомнить:

 

1) Если поездом ехать из аэропорта в город то нужно выходить на тот путь который идет к Malmo. И лучше переспросить проводника или кого-то из пассажиров - а тот ли это поезд что мне нужен?

Crazy stuff - I cannot synchronize contacts on my phone with contacts on my laptop!

 

The only way to synchronize is to delete all contacts on a phone (by killing relation with my home computer and establishining new relation with laptop) and push all contacts again (from laptop to phone). Which of course is a very bad and risky way I'm not going to use to avoid data loss in critical moment!

 

So, we have 2009 year, lot of phones in the world with Windows Mobile but there are still absolutaly stipid bugs and limitations which perhaps came from years before 2000... :-(

 

And the think making me even more sad - impossible to register that bug to microsoft products!

That funny company seems hiding bugs registration pages as a most top secret information...

 

Yes, maybe I should find alternative software to sync contacts on Windows Mobile but it will mean that Windows XP + Outlook 2003 + ActiveSync 4.5 is deprecated technoligies we need to cancel to use asap. :-\\\

Потребовалось перегрнать кое какие MAN-ы в HTML. К сожалению кроме как из-под Linux это не сделаешь. Т.е. есть конечно какие-то конвертилки на перле под винду но кривые до ужаса и конвертить толком не умеют.

 

Так вот - воткнул в laptop usb-HDD с установленной Fedora Linux 10 - загрузился с него...

И сразу же неприятные "сюрпризы":

Во-первых до сих пор в поставку fedora не включен MC (Midhight Commander) - только за это поставщиков можно сразу "пристрелить".

Во-вторых flash-ку с нужными файлами Linux в принципе видеть не хочет. И это в 2009 году, когда plug-n-play уже давно "норма жизни"... :-\

 

Так что до user-friedly Fedore пока еще далековато. Как "игрушка" в свободное время Linux может быть и хорошо, но для комфортной работы Windows все же получше будет...

 

Update: как выяснилось в итоге - несуществует нормальной конвертилки MAN-ов в HTML. :-( Но с помощью простой замены с regular expressions все отлично сконвертировалось. По крайней мере получилось и читабельно и красиво.
